From Rock Bottom to Radical Rebirth
Hi, I’m KV, solo mum of four neurodivergent children, author of The One, and host of the Sex and the One podcast.
I never set out to be a writer. I was just trying to survive.
But when everything in my life collapsed, the infidelity, the end of my marriage, the diagnoses, the depression, I found myself scribbling thoughts into the notes app at 2am. I didn’t have a plan. I just needed to make sense of the chaos.
Somehow, those 2am thoughts became a book.
The One is my story. Raw. Unfiltered. Sex-positive. Neurodivergent. And real.
It’s about what happens when a woman loses everything, and instead of disappearing, she writes her way back to herself.
It’s about grief, rage, motherhood, shame, betrayal, orgasms, healing, and hope.
It’s not always pretty. But it’s honest.
Today, I use my voice to speak for the women who’ve felt invisible. The mothers who’ve had to choose between survival and selfhood. The women who’ve been shamed for their pleasure, their anger, their softness, their strength. The ones who’ve lived in survival mode for too long.
Through my podcast, Sex and the One, I talk about the stuff we’re not “supposed” to say out loud, and I do it in a way that’s messy, funny, vulnerable, and unapologetically mine.
Because truth heals. And I believe honesty is our greatest act of self-respect.
If you take anything from my story, let it be this:
You’re allowed to lose everything and still find yourself.
Your mess doesn’t make you unworthy, it makes you powerful.
Radical honesty isn’t shameful. It’s freedom.
I’m not here to be palatable.
I’m here to be powerful.
And I know I’m not alone.
The One is available now via my shop.
